In Paul’s second epistle to the church at Corinth, he points out that Christians are to “walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7)  God’s word further explains in Romans 10:17, that “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”  Ephesians 4:4-6 says “There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call — one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

Walking by faith means trusting God’s word above all, for it provides the assurance and conviction needed to keep us focused on God’s promises along life’s uncertain path.
